Cost of Raising Children Calculator
Planning for future expenses can be difficult while raising
a family but our cost of raising children calculator is a
useful way to estimate the cost from your child’s current
age to age eighteen. This calculator uses data from the report,
“Expenditures on Children by Families, 2003” (miscellaneous
publication number 1528-2003) published by the Center for
Nutrition Policy and Promotion of the United States Department
of Agriculture (USDA). Using the footnotes provided in the
report, costs are adjusted based on whether the family is
a single- or two-parent family, based on income level and
based on number of children.
