Cash Flow Calculator
Our cash flow calculator is a great way to estimate your
current net monthly cash flow. Once you have gathered all
of your credit card statements, monthly and annual bills,
all you have to do is enter your total income and then enter
all of your expenses.
If you need to combine several expenses into one category,
enter the following: expense A + expense B and hit the Enter
key. The calculator will combine them into one amount for
you. If you need to break an annual expense down to a monthly
one, enter the following: annual expense/12. E.G. 2400/12
will result in $200 being entered.
- Enter exact numbers by clicking on the number in the
box on the right and type your number (no commas).
- The results of your calculations show in the box at the
bottom of the calculator.

Income/Expenses Tab Use the
Income/Expense Tab to enter all of your applicable income
amounts and expenses to quickly calculate your monthly and
annual cash flow excess in the results box.
Household Net Income Regular
Income
This is where you will enter the net (after tax) amount of
all your wages, salaries and tips.
Other Income
Just enter the total net income from all of your other sources
of income including investments, alimony, and business income.
Housing Expenses Mortgage/Rent
You should enter the amount you pay monthly for your primary
residence. This is either the amount you pay in rent or the
principle and interest part of your mortgage. You should also
include homeowners associated fees.
Telephone/Utilities
Add up the amount you pay each month for telephone, gas, electric,
water, sewer, cable and other utilities then enter the total
amount here.
Tax/Insurance
This is where you will enter the amount you spend on taxes
and insurance for your home each month.
Repair/Maintenance
Enter the estimated amount you spend on repairs and maintenance
each month for your home or apartment.
Transportation Expenses Car
Loans
Simply enter amount of any auto loans or leases you pay each
month. If you own more than one vehicle you can enter them
together, such as 200+400+100, and hit the Enter Key to automatically
add them together.
Gas
This amount should reflect the total amount you spend on gasoline
for all your vehicles each month.
Tax/Insurance
You can quickly add your monthly auto insurance and taxes
using this box.
Repair/Maintenance
Here you should enter the estimated monthly amount of repairs
and maintenance expenses for all your vehicles.
Miscellaneous Expenses Food/Entertainment
You can use this box to enter the amount you spend each month
on groceries as well as eating out, movies, vacations, and
other recreations.
Life Insurance/Health Care
You should enter your total medical monthly expenses including
life and health insurance, doctor and dentist co--pays, eye
doctor and eyeglass expenses, and others.
Student Loans/Other Loans
If you have loans of any kind that were not covered above
you can enter the total monthly payments here.
Charity/Gifts
Enter any monthly expenses associated with tax-deductible
charities. Include cash donations and fair-trade value of
charitable gifts and household items.
Clothing/Personal Care
This box is for monthly personal expenses such as clothing,
hair cuts, health club fees, etc. Remember, you can type in
75+25+15, hit the Enter key, and the calculator will enter
115 for you.
Other Expenses
Carefully look at what you have entered and if you have any
monthly expenses that did not fit in the categories above
just enter them here.
Results
Our easy to understand results will change as you enter values
in the income and expense fields. This allows you to see if
you have a positive (excess) or negative (shortage) monthly
cash flow. The results will also show the monthly figure as
an annual amount.
Cash Flow Results Tab Our Cash
Flow Results Tab shows your net cash flow and is a great way
to compare your expenses by general category.
Monthly/Annual
You can choose between showing monthly or annual values in
the graphs.
Cash Flow Chart
This bar chart graphically illustrates your income, your expenses
and your net cash flow.
Expenses Pie Chart
The pie chart illustrates your expenses which are broken down
in to the categories of housing, transportation, and miscellaneous.
